ADONIS
The ADONIS
Electronic Journal Subscription
Service is a new, very convenient service on CD-ROM through which customers
can subscribe to only those periodicals they require. Electronic journal issue
equivalents are delivered both concurrently and at prices comparable with the
print subscription.
Currently some 400 titles are committed for 1997 and more titles are being
constantly added. This is not a limited and time-consuming Internet/on-line
service, but a licensed, CD-ROM based subscription service which will run on
your library’s LAN. This will ensure that access to the electronic journal
content will always be available.
Using the ADONIS® Electronic Journal Subscription Service allows a library to
easily maintain a comprehensive overview of the quality and availability of
the information being provided to its end-users. It also gives a librarian
great tools to control the costs of electronic journal subscriptions.
As an optional service, special archive CD-ROMs can be ordered to consolidate
the electronic journals on a limited number of discs.
