System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe (SIGLE)

SIGLE (System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe) is THE database for locating hard to find and non-conventional literature.

SIGLE (System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe) is a bibliographic database covering European non-conventional (so-called grey) literature in the fields of pure and applied natural sciences and technology, economics, social sciences, and humanities. SIGLE is managed by EAGLE (European Association for Grey Literature Exploitation), a consortium of leading libraries and documentation centres in Europe. SIGLE is multidisciplinary and covers reports, dissertations and other grey literature produced in the member countries. All the documents cited are available from the source indicated in the record - many will not be available at all from other sources. With more than 700,000 records, the SIGLE database represents a unique source of valuable, up-to-the-minute information about the methods and results of European research to supplement the sources found in databases covering conventional literature.
