The SPC Standards Service contains the SSPC publications, Good Painting Practice, Volume 1 and Systems and Specifications Steel Structures Painting Manual, Volume 2. These publications contain specifications, practices and guides on topics such as: surface preparations; abrasives; cleaning methods; paint; paint materials; paint application; scaffolding; galvanizing; safety/inspection/Q.C.; painting specific types of structures including industrial plants and Navy ships; selecting painting systems; comparative painting costs; and coatings for pipelines and other underground structures.
