Acquisition Department

RLST's collection building is primarily a task for the Acquisition Department.This department tries to purchase all the Farsi book in science and technology published in the Islamic Republic of Iran.Bearing in mind that RLST is a newly established orga nization,body of books through publishers, bookshops , and national book exhibitions.

Concerning non - Farsi books which are mainly in English,there is an effort to collect primary as well as secondary information sources and materials.Tha stock of RLST's non - Farsi books is remarkable.

The Acquisition Department by applying proper collection management has been able to create a balanced collection appropriated for scientific and technological communities. This is the kind of policy which RLST has been always concerned with and it is expected that in the near future , RLST's scientific and technological collection would become the most complete and comprehensive one in the country.Obviously , RLST's success in creating such a collection is greatly indebted to the expert views of the m embers of RLST's Scientific Committee.
