President of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) broke the news of the collaboration of this center with the World University Ranking Database (QS Apple).
Qs Apple university ranking hosted the fifth conference of the Higher Education experts on 24-26 November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this conference, The Islamic World Science Citation Center participated as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to give reports on the giving validity to scientific journals as well as the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).
I n this seminar the participants negotiated the possibility of the cooperation between ISC and QS in ranking the world universities based on made agreements.
President of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) affirmed that a review of the programs of the fifth conference of the Higher Education experts (QS) in Malaysia shows that the Higher Education Institutions of Iran have a dim presence in this conference. However, the country’s universities should actively participate in conferences which are directly related to their programs for creating more suitable scientific environments, introducing tangible facts of the educational and research activities, attracting international students, and paving the way for scientific cooperation and international communications.
Mehrad also spoke about the holding of the first conference of QS-MAPLE on 2-3 May, 2010 in Saudi Arabia with the cooperation of king Saudi University. This conference will be held with the participation of the Higher Education experts from Middle East and Africa.
