Roya Maghsoodi

Roya Maghsoodi Deryeh was born in Abadan in 1962. She completed her elementary and high school education in that city. In 1984, she entered Shiraz University and in 1987 received the degree of Associate of Science in Library and Information Science. During the years 1987 to 1989, she worked in the library of the Center of Agricultural Research and Natural Resources of Fars Province. In 1990, she received the B.S. degree in Library and Information Science. During these years, she worked on several research projects in collaboration with the Faculty Members of Shiraz University. In 1991, she was employed as the first recruit in the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology in Shiraz and worked as the chief of the Persian Journals section until 1996. In 1996, she was accepted in Shahid Chamran University to continue her studies in the field of Library and Information Science and in 1998 received the M.S. degree as the top graduate of the Faculty of Education and Psychology of Shahid Chamran University. In 2000, she became the Faculty Member of the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology. In 2003, proposing the research project entitled “Database of Persian Journals Citation Reports”, she played a major role in launching this database in the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology in cooperation with Dr. Mehrad. Since 2005, she has been working as the research member of the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC).
